"How to Write an Academic Article in English?" course will be held online in order to advance the writing skills in English academic writing.

Our courses, which will be in the form of online courses, will be given by expert lecturers working at Gazi University Academic Writing Application and Research Center. At the end of the courses, a verifiable and accessible “Participation Certificate” will be issued to the participants.

English Academic Writing Skills Development Course - How to Write an Article?

CONTENT - OBJECTIVE

• Difficulties encountered in writing articles in English and solutions 
• Common mistakes and solutions when writing articles in English
• Indirect quotation (paraphrasing)
• The main components of the article  
• Abstract
• Introduction
• Literature Review
• Methodology 
• Findings (Findings / Results) 
• Discussion 
• Tips and techniques for effective and easy writing of Conclusion sections, the most frequently used phrases and sample article analysis 

PREREQUISITES FOR PARTICIPATION

• Studying or having completed graduate education. 
• Having a score of at least 60 or higher in the Foreign Language Proficiency Examination (YDS) or at least 70 or higher in the YÖK-DİL exam or equivalent scores from international language proficiency exams within the last 5 years.

✔Participants who submit their work to us by January 10, 2024 will be provided with a one-time free proofreading consultancy.

1. Fill in the Trainee Information Form.

3. Send your Foreign Language Score document and payment receipt to akademikyazma@gazi.edu.tr.
4. Your application will be completed when you receive a confirmation e-mail that your registration has been created.

*Online courses via Microsoft Teams will not be recorded in accordance with KVKK.

*In order to receive a Certificate of Attendance, at least 75% attendance is required.
